Write Your First Blog: 4th Step To MMO

Write Now

It's now time to write. Make sure that you already have created your blog. If not yet, learn how in this tutorial.
In Blogger terms, a post is what you write. It can be an article, or just a simple narrative of your experience. A post is like an entry to your journal or diary. It is dated and time stamped. Don't worry, your posts are automatically dated.
Write in English. The reason for this is that the ads that appear on your blog depend on what you write; and it can only "understand" English; unless there is Google Adsense in your country that responds to your native language.
Observe proper grammar. One or two mistakes are okay but not more than that. If you write in good English, you give an impression to your reader that you are serious about what you are writing. You also make yourself sound credible.
Write in the second person. Use you to address your reader. Blogging is talking to your readers.
Do not be formal unless necessary. Blogging uses conversational English. Use simple words that even a 6th grader can understand. If you have a limited vocabulary, no problem. But that does not mean that you stop learning. Writing is a progress.
Write everyday while the excitement is in you. If you reached a stressful mark, just relax and take a rest. In time, you may not need to write everyday. Write consistently, nevertheless. Even if just once a week.
Write with substance. Give your post at least 300 words. This is to ensure that you have created substance in what you are talking about. If your post is around 1000 words, divide it into three. On the other hand, what is 300 words if they do not make sense? Write with substance. It is important.
The four basic steps end here but your blogging journey has just started. There is plenty to learn. Read each post here one at a time. For every thing you read, you learn some thing.
Now, you've come to an exciting part, i.e. how your blog can earn from ads.
